Latin Music Club at Whittier Dual Language School
If you’ve been hearing more cow bell and that dizzying “tumbao” bass thumping the third floor walls lately, it’s because the Latin Music Club has been practicing harder than ever to become a first class ensemble. We’ve been working on various styles such as “merengue, bolero and son montuno” and we’re sounding better than ever. Thanks to Hector Silveira who has been coming Monday – Thurs. in order to work with a few musicians at a time to maximize their progress.
A few acknowledgements are in order for our middle school students, Raul on piano, Karla and Martha on vocals, Monica and Lilyana on bass guitar, and Jose on congas.
