Ms. Carter-Weidner Invited to President’s Active Lifestyle Award Program Launch

 

President Obama’s personal fitness trainer who is a member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition stopped in Chicago to kick off a national initiative to get the young and old active.  Ms. Carter had the opportunity to meet him and discuss how Whittier students enjoy being active and are working to improve their fitness levels.

The President’s Active Lifestyle Award can be achieved by anyone and you can keep track of your progress atwww.presidentchallange.com. Adults must achieve 30 minutes of physical activity a day, five days per week for six weeks. Children must be active for at least 60 minutes a day, five days a week for six weeks. Those who achieve those goals are eligible for a certificate from the President.
